Just tossing back a pint of apple
He's playing with a sippy recently and now and then sucks a bit of juice from the nozzle.

He's almost 10 months old now and growing up fast. Ethan has started to make himself more mobile in crawling hand over hand, but we think he is afraid of heights because he keeps his tummy on the ground like an army crawl to move about still. He can sit for minutes, balancing himself carefully, and even grabbing toys from the floor to nibble on. He also took his daddy's sunglasses off of him and played with them, so Keegan carefully put them on his face to see how he liked it. Ethan looked around a bit, before slowly taking them off of himself and licking the lenses. In response, Keegan bought him a pair of his own, there'll be pix of him in them soon.
We're so excited now, because after months of saying "da-da-da-da" and "na-na-na-na", he looked up at his mother and said cautiously, "ma-ma".
DaNell was so excited she squealed and clapped her hands and kissed him all over. He in turn thought this was pretty funny stuff. Since the initial statement, he has said it a few more times.
He also is having a less terrible time eating sludges (the foods in the babyfood jars that are mislabeled solids). He sometimes won't cry if we feed him apple sauce or banana mush. But the one thing we know he likes is red-vines. Images of that adventure are sure to follow.
We love our little guy so much, and we appreciate all your help with raising him. Sometimes we feel retarded trying to figure things out, but we're getting it. Thanks for all your prayers.
